The heat of summer is on and although I live in the mountains my mind was at the beach dreaming of fresh coconut water and pineapple with this recipe. I also realized that adding pineapple to green smoothies makes them much more delightful for people new to drinking their greens.
|1||c||pineapple (cored, outsides removed)|
|1||coconut water (more if you like it smoother)|
- Place all ingredients except the frozen banana in a blender. Blend.
- Add the frozen banana and blend until desired consistency. Add more coconut water if needed.
*To freeze bananas, peel them first and stick them in a bag or tupperware in the freezer. This gives the smoothie a little chill and also keeps bananas food for longer.
